Hammer Collection, Tales Of Frankenstein DVD

Mary Shelley's 1818 novel has endured as the defining myth of the modern age. From the erudite, existential hero of Shelly's original text to the hulking yet sympathetic monsters of the many Frankenstein films over the years, this DVD celebrates the rich legacy of the most famous monster of them all.

The centerpiece of the DVD, the title program itself, Tales of Frankenstein, was an unsold TV pilot made in 1958 by Hammer Studios for Screen Gems, using some of the creative personnel (and style) of the older Universal classics.
