The Tron franchise began in 1982 with the Walt Disney Pictures film Tron. It was followed by various videogame tie-ins, a comic series and the 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy. More sequels are planned and a 10 part television series is in development and due to air on Disney XD in summer 2012.
