NOTE: The cowl will fit up to a brow circumference of 25 1/2" so if your brow circumference is 22 1/2" and you want a tight fit you may need to place some slight padding in the back.
The cowl is made of heavy Vita-Flex 40 urethane and is ridget enough to stand on its own. The ears are not solid as if they were it would make the cowl unduly heavy. But they are stiff and will not collapse or distort. The cowl comes in two pieces i.e. the head and neck. the head you pull over your head and the neck wraps around yours and fastens in the back with industrial strength Velcro.
As to the mouth size, the issue would be your face going forward more to fill the opening. 22 1/2" is a small circumference, average circumference for an adult male is between 24" and 25". But again if you place a small amount of padding at the upper back of the cowl it should push your face forward into the mouth for a snugger fit.
Is it wearable? Yes, it 100% wearable.
Is it flexible? Yes, it is flexible.
How flexible is it? Very flexible.
Is it a fully functioning cowl or is it a movie prop? Yes, it is fully functional. This is exactly what was worn in all the action scenes and cast from the same production master. it is not a screen used prop. But it is exactly what was worn and made in the same exact fashion.
Is it comfortable to wear? Is the urethane hard or is it soft? Yes it is comfortable to wear. It is made of Vyta-Flex 20 a soft stretchable urethane that is as comfortable as silicone and still firm enough to allow the mask to hold its shape well even when not worn and on display.
Is the mask crack-able? The great thing about urethane is that unlike latex urethane will never crack or shrink.
Can you turn your head while wearing it like in The Dark Knight movie? Yes, the neck is a separate piece just as it was in the production and goes on like a neck brace.
