Featured in the Battlestar Galactica episodes "Greetings from Earth," "Baltar's Escape" and "Experiment in Terra," the Destroyer is a compact warship operated by the planet Terra's "Eastern Alliance," which is at war with that same world's "Western Coalition.

The destroyer was crewed by a highly trained team of Eastern Alliance officers and soldiers, who were ruthless and efficient in combat. Despite its advanced technology and firepower, the Eastern Alliance destroyer was ultimately no match for the Galactica and other Colonial ships. In the final battle between the Eastern Alliance and the Colonials, the Eastern Alliance destroyer was destroyed, bringing an end to the conflict between the two civilizations.
