United States Domestic Orders, Returns, Shipping Terms & Conditions: 

Domestic Orders and Payment Terms.

  • Any shipments lost or damaged in which the customer did not request and pay for tracking, confirmation, or insurance, are the sole responsibility of the customer, and Monsters in Motion is not to be held responsible for any losses incurred.
  • Whenever possible, we combine multiple items together to save you shipping costs. Since preorder item arrival times are only estimates, we strongly suggest keeping any preorder item in separate orders from in-stock or other preorder item orders to avoid more shipping costs and delays of your in-stock items. We reserve the right to ship ahead any in-stock items in orders that contain preorder items yet to arrive. Also, some items, such as posters requiring a separate mailing package (tube), or very fragile items, may need to be shipped apart from others. Both scenarios will result in extra shipping costs to you. Please be mindful of this when combining preorder or special items in a single order.
  • Items and/or packaging may vary slightly from what is represented on our website, as some are rare-hard-to-find-relics, and some items may appear to be in-stock, but their arrival date is unknown or they may be preordered, made-to-order, or reorder items (items restocked regularly).We do our best to accurately estimate arrivals, but because we carry rare and/or limited items, we prefer to not list using "in-stock" advertising. Also, some items are shipped to us directly from the manufacturer in Japan or China and may take longer than expected. Our items are sold as new unless otherwise specified. Some items may have slight cosmetic flaws from normal shelf wear.If you are uncertain of anything regarding the item (s), please inquire by email or phone to verify stock, quality or appearance of item(s) before purchasing.
  • Resin Kits: “Resin kits require model building and painting skills. Many parts may require prep, sanding, fitting and some scratch building. Some models do not come with printed box or instructions and are intended for experienced modelers. Our amazing staff of professional model builders can build and paint this kit for you. Please use the BUILD UP SERVICES link at the top of the page to contact us for more information or a price quote.”
  • Many items such as CD's/DVD's/Blu-ray's/LP's/Media/Resin kits/Statues/T-shirts/Apparel/Pins/Fantasy Boxes/Props-Replicas/Purses/Wallets/Posters/Books/Magazines/Lighting kits/Decal/Paint sets are generally in stock, but are reordered bi-weekly, so they can ship anywhere from a few days to 6 weeks, generally. Many costumes,accessories, masks, etc are seasonal, and may not have a definitive arrival date. Please inquire by email or phone to verify stock or appearance of item(s)   
  • We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Personal Checks and US Money Orders in US funds,, plus PayPal. We do not ship COD. On preorder items, Paypal and Check/Money Orders are funded to us immediately. Based on customer history, the amount of items order (custom or special) or total order value, we may automatically take up to a 25% deposit.
  • Due to the mass volume of emails we receive each day, we can no longer accept email cancellations. This is due to the fact that we may not get to your email in time to complete the cancellation before the item ships. We are only accepting cancellations by telephone, and only during our "Customer Service" office hours listed on our Contact Us page. We cannot cancel an order that has already been processed for shipping! See our return policy for receiving a credit or refund. 
  • Your online account address is for billing, and shipping info is ORDER-based as many people use different shipping addresses, so if you change your address in your account, after an order is placed, it is your responsibility to update us by email or phone, with your current or preferred shipping address for each order. 
  • Shipping charges within the United States are ESTIMATED per the DOMESTIC (U.S.A.)  Final adjusted shipping charges will be calculated at the time of actual shipping based upon both the "raw weight" and "dimensional weight" (Length x Height x Width).  At times shipping charge adjustments occur due to unexpected special handling or packaging, or size and weights as many items are newly released, so we may attempt to contact you for additional shipping charges prior to shipping the products, or we may charge you or change the method of shipping to accommodate funds provided.  The customer accepts that all direct, out of pocket shipping charges to Monsters in Motion are to be paid for by the customer.  Monsters in Motion does not absorb shipping charges for any reason.  Special shipping requests are done as a courtesy and are not always granted. Monsters in Motion is not responsible for meeting these courtesy requests. 
  • Our goal is to process your order as quickly as possible.  Your choice of shipping service is just that, i.e., if you chose 2 or 3-day shipping, that means it will take 2 or 3 days from the time of shipping, not when ordered. However, you should allow at least 6 days to 4 weeks for delivery from the time the order is actually entered into our system if that particular item is in stock, unless otherwise noted or advised. We have no control over exact arrival dates, just an estimate. The manufacturer determines that, and updates us of changes, hence our statement "Release date subject to change without notice"  We recommend using a credit card on all orders, especially for preorders, as we will not charge it until the item is ready to ship. This way you can reserve the item with no upfront cost. When using your PayPal account you are authorizing them to pay us instantly, as we have no control over PayPal. There is a 15% restocking fee for all preorder, non-stock or made-to-order item cancellations.
  • “All customer information and accounting is order based. If you change your shipping or billing info or cancel an item, it may remain the same in your order, but your internal account will reflect the changes, and any order after that will also reflect the new changes. If you have an outstanding order yet to be shipped, it is your responsibility to inform us by email or phone of any changes to your account. This way we will be aware and make sure your item gets shipped to the correct address. Please update your online profile, also, as it will continue to default to your personal info until you update that. ”

  • All resin kits are hand made to order and may take 10 days to 6 weeks to ship, possibly more. Please inquire by phone or email if you have a time restriction. Some models do not come with printed box or instructions and are intended for experienced modelers. Also, some resin and special order kits and pieces are sent directly from the caster/manufacturer and their shipping method may be different from your chosen service .Unless noted as plug and play, all light kits require electronic building skills. Board soldering and wire make up is required. Meaning you must be able to solder resistors to boards, and solder wires to boards and resistors.
  • “Monsters in Motion reserves the right to cancel orders and refund customers' money because of pricing, inventory, or advertising errors.”

Domestic Orders Returns/Cancellation Terms



  • It is your responsibility to promptly inspect your purchase upon receipt.
  • Due to the mass volume of emails we receive each day, we can no longer accept email cancellations.  We are only accepting cancellations by telephone, and only during our "Customer Service" office hours listed on our Contact Us page. We cannot cancel an order that has already been processed for shipping!. We will send an email confirmation of your cancellation. It is the customer's responsibility to save their cancellation confirmation email from us as proof of cancellation. Late cancellations (within 2 weeks of arrival of package delivery) or refusals are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Please carefully read all of our policies see our return policy for receiving a refund or credit.
  • ALL returns, exchanges, or claims for missing or damaged parts must be made within 7 days of receipt. 
  • There are no refunds on Money orders or Checks for any order, regardless of reason. We will only issue store credit for purchases with checks or Money Orders.
  • There are absolutely no refunds or exchanges on Custom Built & Painted items, Finished Kits, Special Orders, or shipping and handling fees for any reason. 
  • Masks, Costumes, and/or other apparel are subject must be returned with invoice, unworn, and in original condition in its original packaging. There is a 15% restocking fee on all apparel, masks, and costumes.
  • Refunds are only for products only, not shipping nor return shipping. We can only issue credit(s) to the original method of payment that was used in the transaction.
  • DVD's-DVR's-Blu-Ray's-CD's-CDR's-Soundtracks-Software  are non-returnable or refundable unless discs are damaged. Damaged or defective videos, soundtracks and software may be returned for the same merchandise only. There are no refunds on DVD'S-DVR'S-BLU-RAY'S-CD'S-CDR'S-SOUNDTRACKS-SOFTWARE  or any recorded media. If a jewel case is cracked, we will replace the case for you
  • Please be certain that the items you are ordering are correct and you are aware of our policies. There is a 15% restocking fee for all cancellations and returns for credit or cash refunds. You may return items within 15 days of receipt for store credit. 
  • Please call (714) 577-8863 for an RMA # (Return Merchandise Authorization Number). We will not issue an RMA # through e-mail.
  • An RMA # number must be marked on the outside of your return Package or Box, but NEVER placed directly onto the original item package or box itself. Putting the RMA number on the product package or box ruins the product. This means you must double-box or double-wrap.  Should you place an RMA# onto the original package or box itself, the product cannot be accepted for return or credit and will be returned to you at your shipping expense.
  • ALL return (RMA) items are to be shipped prepaid and insured via United States Postal Service (USPS), Federal Express (FedEx), United Parcel Service (UPS), or DHL.
  • Please allow 2 weeks upon our receipt for processing.
  • Do not return entire kits or product items without prior authorization, and without receiving an RMA #.  Allow our staff time to resolve issues which arise.  We are usually able to resolve problems quickly and easily. If we find that the damage is unreasonable or happened after it was delivered, you will be charged a minimum of $7.50 Call Tag Fee plus the return shipping charges as well as the 15% restock fee.


Missing or Damaged Parts Terms

  • It is your responsibility to promptly inspect your purchase upon receipt.
  • If you discover a missing or damaged part please call our customer service desk and we will gladly try to obtain that part through the manufacturer on your behalf. Please take pictures of all items, product packaging and shipping box, as this is crucial proof for us to file a claim on behalf of you from the manufacturer and/or the shipping service. 
  • Do not begin assembling your kit until all the parts are received.  Doing so will void your return if the parts cannot be replaced.
  • Replacement parts whether manufactured outside or within the United States may take an extended period to receive. 
  • These orders are considered commissioned works of art and must be paid for in full upon ordering.
  • All items ordered as Finished or Custom Buildup will be painted per your color instructions. If none are specified our artisans will choose colors most suited for the character or item.
  • Assuming the item is in stock, please allow 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Spacecraft, ships, vehicles, or scratch built accessories & bases can take up to 12 weeks.
  • Although custom built and finished kit orders are a final sale, we promise to do our utmost to insure your satisfaction
  • If no instruction or reference is provided we reserve the right to improvise adequate instruction via our artists' experience and ability.
  • Damaged parts due to shipping are covered by shipping insurance.
