John's documentary on Ray Harryhausen (Movement Into Life) is held in the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation's archive.

His books include Harryhausen: The Lost Movies, Flash Gordon: The Official Story of the Film, and Escape From New York: The Official Story of the Film, all Rondo Award Nominees for Book of the Year. 2022 sees the release of Dr Who & The Daleks: The Official Story of the Films.
