THE GRUDGE is a story from Japanese lore about a murderous supernatural curse passed from victim to victim in an endless, ever-growing chain of horror.

A new, American version of the blockbuster Japanese film of the same name. Takashi Shimizu, who directed the original, also directs this version.

The Grudge is produced by Sam Raimi (Spider-man, The Evil Dead).

The Grudge stars Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy The Vampire Slayer).

The musical score is by acclaimed composer Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Species, The Shipping News).

The Japanese version of The Grudge, entitled Ju-On, has an enormous cult following worldwide. Following in the tradition of The Ring (another Japanese horror film remade for American audiences to the tune of $128 million at the box office), The Grudge is one of the most anticipated films of the fall.
